Constraints of Vision

This work addresses the notion of “forced framing and restricted sight.” The dome covered in mirror shards represents the eye or inner vision attempting to reflect light and truth in all directions. However, the arching red bands that wrap over and bind the sphere act as a physical cage or constraint. The piece serves as a metaphor for external forces and conditions that restrict our field of vision, controlling what we are allowed to see and perceive
