Shaza Bazerbashi

Shaza Bazerbashi (b. 1996) is a Syrian artist who earned a degree in fashion design in 2017. Following her graduation, she dedicated herself to honing her painting skills by participating in numerous art courses for the applied arts in Damascus.

Her artistic journey progressed through several group exhibitions in Syria, Lebanon, Dubai and Cairo culminating in an award for her work at the Visual Arts Center competition in 2020. More recently, she held her first solo exhibition in 2024 at the Art Scene Gallery, Lebanon.

Bazerbashi’s artworks offer a vivid exploration of childhood, capturing its inherent innocence, joy, and honesty. Her deep fascination with the world of children is evident in her effort to portray the essence of a child’s personality, emotions, and imagination. To express this theme, she utilizes a unique blend of speed, intensity, and naturalness, employing colors and forms that evoke a profound sense of childlike wonder and spontaneity.
