Maya Alsamman

Maya Alsamman is a Syrian visual artist based in Damascus. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the same field at Damascus University.
Her artistic practice primarily employs acrylic, oil, and charcoal, exploring themes of memory, identity, and the relationship between people and place. Through familiar visual motifs and details drawn from everyday life, she creates images that carry poetic and symbolic dimensions.
She has participated in several local and international exhibitions, most notably Syrian Artists from the World at the Mazovian Museum in Poland in 2025.
