Ghena Al Helal

Ghena Al Helal is a Syrian contemporary visual artist and academic lecturer. She holds an MFA in Painting and Drawing from Damascus University (2026) and has taught practical studio courses at the Faculties of Fine Arts at Damascus University and the University of Aleppo. Working across painting, mixed media, and site-specific and interactive installation, she explores identity, memory and spatial belonging. Her spatial works include The Cirque in Damascus (2023) and Once Upon a Time Aleppo at Al-Hatab Square (2022), and her paintings have shown in group exhibitions at Zimzy Gallery in the UAE and Al-Khanji Gallery in Aleppo.
