Shards of Staring

The concept here revolves around “fractured perception and shattered reflection.” A central, dark pupil is encircled by sharp shards of broken mirrors, symbolizing the attempt to stare into oneself or the surrounding reality. However, the gaze returns fragmented and distorted. The work questions how an intense stare can grasp truth when the reflective surface—through which we perceive ourselves and the world—is fundamentally broken.
